EiT Reduces Operational Costs by 20% with Zebra Technologies’ Warehouse Solutions

Chilean logistics company digitalizes workflows at its warehouse and distribution centers, optimizing inbound and outbound processes.

SANTIAGO DE CHILE, Chile – May 17, 2023 -
Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a leading digital solution provider enabling businesses to intelligently connect data, assets, and people, today announced EiT is working with Zebra to modernize its warehouse and distribution center operations.

The Chilean transportation and logistics company needed to embark on a digitalization journey, migrating from paper-based operations to automated processes to serve its broad customer base. The company has successfully accelerated processing times, overcome visibility and productivity challenges, and generated an attractive return on investment.

Prior to implementing the Zebra solution, the logistics company processed 100 units of goods per minute; after digitizing the warehouses, this number increased twenty-fold to 2,000 units per minute.  Additionally, EiT has reduced ongoing operational costs within their distribution center by 20%.

“The innovative warehouse solution from Zebra Technologies helps us increase inventory accuracy while delivering real-time information of goods exactly when it is needed,” said Gerardo Cáceres, Innovation and Development Manager at EiT. “Human errors are reduced, and our workers are now enabled to make fact-based decisions, which has helped save time and money through operational efficiency.”

EiT is now leveraging the breadth of the Zebra portfolio at its warehouse to receive product, pick orders, package shipments and track deliveries. Together the MC3300, MC2700, MC9200 and TC26 mobile computers, RS5100 ring scanner and ZT411, ZQ500 and ZD421 thermal printers address the most business-critical workflows within their warehouse operations.

Zebra devices work in harmony with EiT’s warehouse management system (WMS) provided by STG Chile, a Premium Solution Partner in the Zebra PartnerConnect Program. “Implementing Zebra’s solutions together with our WMS has increased the productivity of EiT’s front-line workers,” said Leonardo Navarrete, Sales Manager at STG Chile. “Our collaboration with Zebra has always enabled us to deliver a leading warehouse logistics solution tailored to our customers’ needs.”

According to Zebra’s Global Warehousing Vision Study, 71% of decision-makers said they are accelerating their warehouse modernization plans to boost the accuracy and speed of their operations while enhancing workers’ capabilities with data capture processes and automated asset tracking.

“Zebra has set a new standard to guide and accelerate warehouse modernization—fully supported by decades of field-proven innovation and experience from thousands of warehousing implementations and use cases,” said Alejandro Prosperi, Vice President of Sales and General Manager for South of Latin America. “The perfect time to modernize warehouses is now, and Zebra helps companies like EiT connect every mobile worker to their WMS and capture each inventory move for holistic control and visibility.”
